German Green Stone

German Green Stone
German Green stone is a Jurassic Limestone quarried in the country of Germany. It is a Jurassic stone with a rich stone history that is so elegantly captured through a geologic lens so to speak, as it’s a stone with alot of embedded deep sea green fossils, a compressed beach of sorts. Many times I’ve actually seen little fossilized bit’s of charcoalized wood, organic matter & calcerous sea shell’s. The color of this stone is especially known for its softened, velvet sea blue- green appearance and its understated beauty, which is likely caused by it’s mineral content of Lime, quartz & Glauconite, derived from the Greek Glaucos meaning ‘gleaming’ or ‘silvery’ It is a dense, finely-grained material that is most commonly used as a vanity top, shower surround or fireplace facade.
