New Adz finish

This new edge detail has been the most requested modern edge so far this year! Its super simple and minimalistic, but also cutting edge (no pun intended). Here are a few examples of what the finished edge looks like in a kitchen. The most common material to have this done, is a soapstone, limestone, basalt and possibly a granite.

Integrated sink

You really can’t go wrong with a sink made of the same stone as your countertop. Traditionally you see soapstone, but you can have your fabricator make one from virtually any stone. Gotta love the stone window shelf as well!

Marble horror stories

Distressed, old, antiqued, vintage, beat up, old, memories, patina’d are all words to describe words that fulfill the oh so perfectly charmed word, marble. If any of these words scary you, then get prepared to move on. You really can’t go wrong with marble in my eyes. It carries such a strong classic sense of style, even if it’s the words used above. The beauty about it is if it accumulates character, then use a little elbow grease with sandpaper and comet (only if it’s honed) and go to town! Your outcome will be perfectly fresh + new marble.

Favorite scooped Soapstone sink

This particular soapstone is called Mirasol Black. Its a traditional look with metallic “nail heads”. If you’re thinking of adding some character to your simple kitchen sink. Add a scoop! Its more comfortable to lean on and with the slightly rounded top edge, pans will bounce off, opposed to chipping! Happy Planning!
